New guidebook launched for women considering getting involved in local politics

Women interested in becoming involved in local politics can now get advice through a new guidebook.

See Her Elected is a collaboration between Longford Women's Link and 5050North West and is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

It provides learning and support for women by women with a specific focus on the Midlands and North West.

The organisation has prepared the practical guide to assist candidates running in the 2024 Local Elections, with workshops taking place online from later this month until May to help women prepare for the campaign.
