A new funding scheme has been launched to support local community centres.
Community centres across the Shannonside region are being encouraged to apply for a new government investment of 25 million euro for upgrade and refurbishment works.
The scheme follows similar programmes in recent years, which delivered more than 80 million euro for nearly 1,650 projects nationwide.
Funding will be available under two categories, with up to 25 thousand euro for minor works, and up to 100 thousand euro for larger refurbishment projects.

Applications will open online on May 29th, with a closing date of July 13th.
