A new €6.2 million project which has been approved for Drumshanbo could create up to 40 jobs. 'The Exchange Project' will see the development of a working hub and creative studios in the town centre. It also includes the repurposing of the former Bank of Ireland building and the adjoining vacant premises on Main Street, completion of the riverside walk and enhancement of the People's Park. Drumshanbo councillor Enda McGloin says residents have been anticipating the commencement of the new project for a number of years now:
