There have been almost 1,000 new car registrations in the Shannonside region so far this year.
The figures were revealed in the latest report by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
There have been just over 500 new car registrations in Roscommon this year, which is up by around 11 per cent on the same time last year.
There have been 224 registrations in Longford which is slightly down on the same period last year whilst Leitrim has seen a small increase with 222 new registrations in 2026.
