New and improved bus services connecting Longford, Cavan, and Westmeath will take to the road on Monday.
TFI Local Link Longford-Westmeath-Roscommon officially launched new and revised bus timetables for routes 816 and 865.
New Route 816, connecting Longford to Mullingar, will operate three return journeys daily Monday to Sunday, with an additional evening service on Fridays and Saturdays.
While Route 865 is now extending to Aughnacliffe and Lough Gowna, and will operate four daily return services Monday to Thursday, six daily return services on Friday, five daily return services on Saturday, and three daily return services on Sunday.
Longford councillor Uruemu Adejinmi attended the official launch of the bus timetables earlier this week.
She says the additional evening services will greatly benefit the local night-time economy:
