The National Irish Famine Way, which begins in Co Roscommon, has been launched in the United States.
It's part of the Global Irish Famine Way project, which aims to install commemorations of the Great Famine around the world.
The US Global Irish Famine Way follows the trail in Canada, which was established last year.
A ceremony took place at City Hall in the Big Apple to mark the next phase of the project, which will see the placing of bronze shoes at historical sites in Boston and New York.
