Workers in the National Ambulance Services in the Shannonside region are among those taking part 24-hour strike action today.
The protests, which began at 8am are taking place in Athlone, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon and Longford.
Unions say there is an ongoing failure of management to implement the 2020 roles and responsibilities review.
