Developer Seán Mulryan says the ball is now in the Government’s court to deliver a master plan which would see Athlone becomes Ireland’s first green city.
Mulryan and members from the Ballymore Property group presented their plans for the midlands town at yesterday’s meeting of Roscommon County Council.
They aim to transform Athlone into a green city by 2040.
