After three decades of service to the town, today marks the end of an era at Boyle Post Office.
Paul Forde is retiring from his role as postmaster, closing the door on a career that has made him one of the town’s most familiar faces.
The building has stood on Shop Street for over 100 years.

Paul Henry Kelly of Kelly's SuperValu will become the town's new postmaster, with the new premises to open on Tuesday next, February 3rd.
Shannonside FM's Ronan Flanagan was in Boyle earlier today and spoke to Paul as well us customers, former colleagues and local business people.
