A university in Athlone has signed an agreement with a Galway hospital.
The Technological University of the Shannon joined a partnership with the Bon Secours Hospital in Galway to create clinical placements for its nursing students.
The placements offered by the university form a fundamental part of its nursing degrees.

The agreement between the two institutions is in line with Bon Secours Hospital's 2025 Strategic Plan, 'Exceptional People Delivering Exceptional Care' at a time of great pressure in the healthcare industry.
TUS' expansion of nursing programmes is supported by Bon Secours Hospital, and is in accordance with National Policy and Health Workforce Planning Towards 2032.
