The principal of a school in Co Leitrim is defending his decision to close the school today.
Several schools in the Shannonside region decided not to open today because of the storm.
They included schools in Carrigallen, Drumshanbo, Carrick-on-Shannon, Mohill, Ballaghaderreen and Boyle.
