Minister says work underway to reduce completion lengths of local infrastructure projects

Minister Jack Chambers was speaking in Longford last week and promised work is underway to speed up projects like the long-awaited bypass of Carrick-on-Shannon.

The Minister for Infrastructure says he is working to reduce the length of time road projects take.
Minister Jack Chambers was speaking in Longford last week and promised work is underway to speed up projects like the long-awaited bypass of Carrick-on-Shannon.
The bypass involves a 6-kilometre bypass of Carrick, from the Dublin Road to the Boyle Road.

It's due to go to planning by the end of this year and completed by 2030.
Speaking in Longford, Minister Jack Chambers said he understands that long-ended project completion dates are frustrating for local communities:
