The Rural and Community Development Minister says he is intent on working alongside communities to regenerate towns and villages across the Shannonside region.
It comes as the Government is set to publish a review of its National Development Plan this coming week.
Various areas of investment are expected to be at the fore of the plan, including housing, transport, and SMEs.
New findings revealed over 150 pubs in the Shannonside region have closed since 2005, raising concerns about the decline of the rural hospitality sector.
