The Minister for Housing has defended the Governments record in Roscommon. Minister Darragh O'Brien was visiting the county to officially open three new social housing projects.
He cut the ribbon on 49 new units in Monksland, Roscommon, and Elphin while also unveiling the new Public Realm in the county town. The Housing Minister said his Department was making progress on the social housing waiting list in Roscommon. Speaking to Shannonside News, he said there were supports in place in for rural and one-off housing:
