The Minister for Enterprise Tourism and Employment Peter Burke, has welcomed new research into sustainability for businesses.
Data by the Department of Enterprise shows 83 percent of business owners believe sustainability is important to them on a day to day basis.
Almost 2 in 3 of those questioned said they had addressed their waste, with 2 in 5 having taken action on their water usage.
