Contraband with an estimated value of €466,900 was seized in various operations which included the Midlands.
The detections were made as a result of risk profiling and intelligence led operations, and included the following:
10.38kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of over €207,700
1.6kg of Butane Honey Oil, with an estimated value of almost €32,000
2270 tabs of Zoplicone, with an estimated value of over €4,500
Various other illicit drugs, with an estimated value of over €7,600
€4,900 of cash, and 91counterfeit items with an estimated value of over €106,400
Herbal cannabis and other drug seizures were made as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dogs Ciara and Sam.
The parcels, which originated from USA, China, the UK, Spain and India, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.
