Contraband with an estimated value of €479,250 was seized in various operations which included the Midlands.
The detections were made as a result of risk profiling and intelligence led operations, and included the following:
- 9.25kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of over €185,500,
- Almost 565g of Butane Honey Oil, with an estimated value of almost €11,300,
- Various other illicit drugs, with an estimated value of over €2,300,
- Tobacco products, with an estimated value of almost €86,400, representing a potential loss to the exchequer of almost €66,400,
- Over €30,000 of cash, and
- 281counterfeit items with an estimated value of over €163,750.

The herbal cannabis seizures were made as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dogs Ciara and Sam.
The parcels, which originated from USA, the UK and Czech Republic, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.
