Met Eireann is warning Shannonside drivers to beware of difficult conditions this weekend, as they complete their Christmas preparations. A status yellow wind warning will be in place for Leitrim and seven other coastal counties.
The Leitrim alert will run from 3 o'clock on Saturday morning to 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Meteorologist Rebecca Cantwell, from Met Eireann, says there could be fallen trees on the roads - and has this advice to drivers:
