A status yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Roscommon and Leitrim. It comes into effect at 3pm today and runs until 6pm tomorrow. Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal are also included in the warning.
Met Éireann says storms developing today carry the risk of torrential downpours and localised flooding overnight and into Friday. Other possible impacts include lightning damage, hail, gusty winds and hazardous travelling conditions.
