Government will try to help Leitrim festival owed €135,000 - Taoiseach

Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the government is considering intervening to help the Cowboys and Heroes Festival.

The Taoiseach is promising the government will try to help a Leitrim festival who are owed €135,000.

The Cowboys and Heroes Festival, near Ballinamore, is due the money from a ticketing platform, from their recent concert over the June Bank Holiday Weekend.

But tickets.ie ceased trading and went into receivership recently.

In the Dáil, local Fianna Fáil TD Eamon Scanlon called for the government to step in:
