Decision due in August on vet clinic planned for Boyle

The local authority is expected to make a decision on the planning application by August 17th.

Roscommon County Council is due to decide in August whether to give the green light for a veterinary clinic in Boyle.

The plans have been lodged with the council.

The property was most recently a Druminilra restaurant, café and farm shop on Elphin Street and previously, a doctor's surgery.

It was sold to Emlagh Lodge Veterinary Centre from Elphin.

They hope to turn it into a purpose-built veterinary practice.

As part of the proposal, the building would accommodate consulting and treatment facilities, along with a retail area, offices and staff amenities.

Also included are alterations to the existing building, the demolition of a single-storey rear extension and the construction of a new extension at the back of the property.
