North Longford and Arva Credit Union members have voted to approve a merger with North Midlands Credit Union.
The merger was proposed by the two local credit unions in recent weeks, with members voting on the merger at a meeting held earlier this week.
North Longford and Arva Credit Union, which covers the likes of Ballinamuck and Drumlish, say the transfer process will now begin.
It's set to cease operations as a stand-alone credit union on the of 4th June and will open as a branch on North Midlands Credit Union on the of 10th June.
