A high-level meeting is taking place in early March to discuss a dangerous crossroads near Strokestown.
Roscommon County Council will hold talks in Dublin with Transport Infrastructure Ireland about Scramoge Cross.
TII says some improvements are planned at the junction, as part of the ongoing upgrade of the N5.
