The foundation has this morning confirmed that she would be taking a leave of absence from the date the election is announced.

The CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice is set to run in the General Election in Mayo for Fine Gael. Mayo woman Martina Jennings recently fuelled speculation when she became a member of the party. The foundation has this morning confirmed that she would be taking a leave of absence from the date the election is announced.

Ms Jennings was described as 'a driving force behind the establishment of both Mayo and Roscommon Hospices'. Chairperson of the Foundation, Mike Smith said the care and well-being of patients remains its top priority. He assured users and supporters of the continuation of care to families in both Mayo and Roscommon and wished Martina Jennings success in her campaign.
