Local MEP, Maria Walsh, has been appointed to a new position on the EU Agriculture Committee.
The Midlands Northwest MEP has taken up a role as the standing rapporteur for UK matters on the European Parliament's Agriculture and Rural Development Committee.
She'll steer discussions and policy on issues affecting relations between the EU and United Kingdom.
