A man has been seriously injured in an assault in Roscommon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Church Street in Roscommon Town yesterday.
A man aged in his 50s was airlifted to University Hospital Galway for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and anyone with information or who noticed anything suspicious is asked to contact Roscommon Garda Station.
