A Longford man is understood to be in a serious condition in hospital following a farmyard accident.
The man is understood to have sustained head injuries following an incident at a farm in the Carrickboy area of Longford on Monday evening.
Emergency services were alerted and Rescue 118 was dispatched from its base in Sligo before landing just off the N55 after 7pm.

The man was subsequently airlifted to Beaumont hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The Health and safety has confirmed it is aware of the incident and is liaising with local Gardaí at this time.
