A man in his 80s has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Co Longford.
He was struck at around 5.15 yesterday evening on Main Street, Ballymahon.
The pedestrian was rushed to Tullamore hospital.

The driver of the car, a man in his late teens, wasn't injured.
The road is closed for a forensic investigation and gardai are appealing for witnesses.
