A man in his 40s has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with threats to kill and assault in Longford this month.
The man was arrested in Edgeworthstown on Wednesday after incidents that are alleged to have occurred in Longford on different dates during the month of February.
He was remanded in custody and will appear by video link at Mullingar District Court on March 4th next.

Two other individuals, a male and a female, were also arrested yesterday in connection with threats to kill.
They have been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
