A man in his 60s has died following a collision in Co. Roscommon.
The single-vehicle collision occurred at Carrigans Park in Donamon early this morning.
The male driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been conveyed to the mortuary at Galway University Hospital, where a postmortem examination will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified and the road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to any road user who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the area of Carrigans Park in Donamon between 5am and 9am to make the footage available to them.
