Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Ballaghadereen. The incident occurred at around 1am yesterday morning on Barrack Street. Gardaí say a man in his 30s was brought to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where he remains in a critical condition.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed and an incident room has been established in Castlerea Garda Station. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
