An investigation has been launched after a man in his 20's was found dead in Castlerea Prison this morning.
A statement from the Irish Prison Services says the death will be investigated by the Irish Prison Service, The Inspector of Prisons and An Garda Síochána, where circumstances warrant.
The man's next of kin have been notified.

Gardai say a post mortem examination is due to take place, and the results will determine the course of the investigation.
