A man is due in court following an incident of criminal damage at Athlone Garda Station on Sunday evening.
Windows at the Barrack Street station were smashed, while several Garda vehicles parked outside suffered severe damage.
Images shared online showed shattered glass and punctured windscreens.

The images also show the window of the reception area shattered.
Gardaí responded quickly and arrested a man, in his late 30s, at the scene.
He has since been charged and is expected to appear before Mullingar District Court this morning, at approximately 10.30am.
