A man has died in a road crash on the N55 earlier today on the Longford/Westmeath border. The two vehicle collision took place around midday at the Pigeons, Co. Westmeath.
The N55 is currently closed between Athlone and Ballymahon, with local diversions in place. Gardaí expect the road to re-open later tonight.
