A man has died following a road traffic collision involving a car and an e-scooter in Waterford city on Christmas Day.
The crash happened at the junction of Manor Hill, and Hennessy’s Road at around 11:00 am.
The e-scooter rider, a man in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a man in his 80s, was also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Gardaí carried out an examination of the scene and an investigations are ongoing.
They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have camera or dash-cam footage from the area, to contact them.
