A man in his 80s has died after being struck by a car in Longford town.
The collision happened on Earl Street yesterday morning around 10 o'clock.
The pedestrian was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment of serious injuries.

He was pronounced dead yesterday evening and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
