A 36-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was discovered in an apartment in County Laois earlier this week.
Sean Egan, of no fixed abode, said he had no comment when he was informed of his charge last night.
He’s been remanded in custody in Cloverhill prison and will appear again before Portlaoise district court next week, via video link.

The woman, understood to be a mother of a young child and aged in her mid-30s, was found with serious injuries at an apartment in Mountmellick on Wednesday afternoon.
