A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault on a woman in Co Longford.
Gardai say the attack is reported to have happened in Edgeworthstown on Tuesday, February 25th.
A man in his 30s was arrested this morning and is being questioned at a garda station in the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Division.

He can be held for up to 24 hours.
