An investigation's underway after a man's body was found in County Mayo.
The discovery was made during a fire near Castlebar late yesterday.
Gardai and Emergency Services were alerted to a fire, which broke out at a house on Pheasanthill, shortly after half 6 yesterday evening.

When they arrived they found the man's body inside the home.
The scene remains sealed off this morning and gardai have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
He's being held in Castlebar Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and gardai are appealing for witnesses to the blaze to come forward.
