A man has been arrested after over €33,000 worth of drugs was seized in Strokestown yesterday evening.
Gardai said: "Shortly after 8:30pm on Wednesday, Garda members attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit were on patrol when they stopped a vehicle on Main Street, Strokestown, Co Roscommon.
"During a search of the vehicle, approximately €28,000 cannabis herb, €1,500 cannabis resin, €1,750 'magic' mushrooms, €1,530 Amphetamine, €230 LSD and €260 MDMA were discovered by gardaí.

"€1,400 cash was also seized along with drug paraphernalia. The total value of the drugs seized is €33,270 (subject to analysis)."
The driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at a Garda station in the northwest.
