A man is due to appear at Longford District Court this morning in relation to an alleged assault on Sunday night in the town.
The incident is said to have happened on Sunday evening in the Farneyhoogan area and another man sustained injuries to his face.
A man was arrested yesterday evening and will appear in court today.
