A Ukrainian national accused of assault causing serious harm to an Englishman in Ballaghaderreen is due back in court today.
Yevhen Shutko, 46, with an address in Loughglynn, west Roscommon, is charged with assault which led to the death of Jorden Newin on New Year's Day.
Following the alleged incident, the 39-year-old was transferred to Sligo University Hospital and then to Beaumont Hospital, where he later died.

In the latest sitting of Ballaghaderreen District Court, Shutko was remanded on bail after being instructed to surrender his passport and lodge €3,000 to the court.
He is due to reappear in court today.
