A man in his 80s has died in a crash in Castlerea.
The pedestrian was struck by a car on the R377 on the outskirts of the town shortly after 6pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the motorist didn't need medical help.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and the local coroner has been notified.
The road remains closed, with local diversions in place, and gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A Garda spokesman said: "Any road-users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) from the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai."
