A man in his 60s has been hospitalised after an alleged assault in north Longford.
It happened in Drumlish at around 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon.
The man was taken to Mullingar Hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries.

No one has been arrested, with gardai saying: "Investigations are ongoing."
