A man in his 20s has been arrested and charged after a garda vehicle was rammed in Co. Monaghan.
An Garda Síochána is continuing to investigate a series of violent incidents on Thursday.
A female Garda sustained injuries during the incident and remains under care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
While a male Garda, who was also injured, has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery.
The man charged is due to appear before a special sitting of Trim District Court at 3pm this afternoon.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information regarding a dark grey Audi A6 with northern registration plates.
Anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the vicinity of the R184, between Ballybay and Clontibret or surrounding roads, or any driver in that area between 11am and 2pm with dashcam or other video footage, is asked to contact Gardaí.
