Major traffic delays on Longford bypass following a road crash

Major traffic delays are being reported on the Longford by-pass this afternoon.

It's understood a traffic collision occurred just before 3pm.

Emergency services are attending the scene, but significant delays are being reported on the N4 by-pass both in and out of Longford from the Edgeworthstown side towards Carrick-on-Shannon and the N5.

Motorists are being urged to take alternative routes if possible.
