Over €160,000 has been secured for new mobility vehicles across the Shannonside region to support vital services.
The funding, which comes under the CLÁR programme, supports initiatives in rural areas, particularly for those with acute medical and accessibility challenges.
Longford Scuba Diving is set to receive a boost of €80,000 for a purpose-built van to facilitate search and recovery operations.

While two services in Co Roscommon are also set to benefit from funding.
These include the Melting Pot Community Society in Roscommon Town and Elphin Social Services and Day Care, which both provide Meals on Wheels services.
The services have received just over €40,000 respectively.
