Emergency services are tackling a major forest fire in Gorthaganny in west Roscommon.
The blaze broke out this afternoon and is still spreading to an extensive area.
A significant amount of forestry has been destroyed.

Motorists are advised that nearby roads may be blocked due to firefighting efforts.
