Members of the Lough Funshinagh Flood Crisis Committee are to meet elected representatives in Leinster House today.
The meeting, will focus on the current status of the long-term solution for Lough Funshinagh, which has been plagued by persistent flooding for more than a decade.
Committee members will meet with TDs Clare Kerrane, Michael Fitzmaurice, Martin Daly, and Senator Gareth Scahill.
Local residents have expressed growing frustration at the slow pace of progress, particularly following revised planning timelines communicated last year.
The committee is now calling for renewed urgency and stronger political leadership, including the continued involvement of Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Tánaiste Simon Harris.
They say the situation remains an emergency and have stressed that flood classification measures must stay in place until a permanent solution is fully operational.
The committee hopes the meeting will return the issue to the top of the Government agenda and finally bring an end to a ten-year crisis affecting families and communities in the area.
