Roscommon gardaí are reminding the public of the danger of speed after a stop outside a local school yesterday.
Local gardaí on patrol in Cloontuskert Village detected a HGV travelling close to double the speed limit past the local national school.
The lorry was clocked travelling at 91 kilometres an hour on the R371 and subsequently stopped by gardaí.
The driver was served with a fixed notice fine and will be subject to penalty points on their licence.
